My Dutch isn’t good enough to read in the natural language, so I’ve had to rely on “Google Translate”!
I’ve spent the last three hours or so, reading the events of 1974. It’s been a sad read, because of 31st August 1974. But, as always, an interesting and exciting one showing the feelings of those behind the scenes and the determination to keep the station alive in the wake of the threat to her existence.
I just want to add my thanks and appreciation to Juul and everyone who helped him in this epic work. It’s a wondeful achievement and must have taken so many hours just sifting through all the information to decide what to put in and what photos, sounds clips etc to accompany the text.
You have every reason to be so proud of this wonderful archive. Over on the Yahoo Caroline mailing list, people were saying how the Caroline organisation has no archives - part of that was due to the many different ways in which the organisations were structured. The other is that with Veronica, there has been a continuity of sorts, with people such as Juul and Ad, who were there at the time, being prepared to continue holding up the banner for Veronica.
I thank you for this wonderful work.
