Ondanks de magere opkomst door het mooie weer en de voetbal perikelen was het een gezellige Rolling Stones fanclubmiddag in museum RockArt waar onze studio's staan.
Deze middag zijn de eerste twee afleveringen van het nieuwe fanclub programma opgenomen die vanaf begin september op veronica192.nl te beluisteren zullen zijn.
Sjaak Jorritsma en Nico Nooij waren vanaf 1968 samen met technicus Juul Geleick betrokken bij de samenstelling en uitvoering van de Rolling Stones show op radio Veronica.
Samen met Robin Scherrenburg van de Nederlandse Stones fanclub "Fortylicks"
is er door hen een informatief programma met veel unieke opnamen op de band gezet.
Tevens zijn er contacten gelegd met de Nederlandse Elvis Presley fanclub "It's Elvis time"voor het samenstellen van een aantal afleveringen over the King.

Vanaf morgen 13 juni is er 1x per maand een Cashbox Top 100 uitzending van 19.00uur tot 21.00uur gepresenteerd door Adriaan, met veel Jingles van Amerikaanse radiostations. We beginnen met een aflevering van 13 juni 1964. (Bijna) Alle nieuwe binnenkomers, de stipnoteringen en de hele Top 10 kun je zondag a.s. horen op Veronica192.nl. Een uniek tijdsbeeld van een belangrijke periode uit de hedendaagse popmuziek.
Bull (Hendrik) Verweij werd 100 jaar oud en overleed op 19 februari 2010 in zijn woonplaats Loosdrecht.
Bull heeft samen met zijn broers Dirk en Jaap e.a. in oktober 1959 de zeezender Radio Veronica opgericht.
Deze website zal de historie en het wel en wee van de familie Verweij beschrijven, met name van de gebroeders Dirk, Peter, Bull en Jaap: de 4 zoons van Gijsbert Willem Verweij en Gerritje Meerens, die in Hilversum woonden.
De familie Verweij is oorspronkelijk afkomstig uit de Lopikerwaard, o.a. uit het dorpje Lopikerkapel aan de Lek.
